Case Closed!

10|10|2020 TO 23|11|2020 Mrs. Taaffe took chocolates because she likes them, And she did it at 12:58 Mrs. Taaffe was at school on the day. Mrs. Taaffe used our Dongle (HDMI Cable) Mrs. Taaffe parked outside the front of Mr Hitchmans shed. Mrs. Taaffe came in on the 23rd of November 2020 and admitted that she done it!

School Athletics!

On Tuesday the 3rd of November we had athletics at the Ngatea Domain. I did the 60m race, 100m race, and 200m race, shotput, and long jump I only made it to the finals for 200m race because I just bet Eli. I liked the long jump the most because I bet my record! I am very proud of myself!

Fingerprints on Paper

Today we took our fingerprints off the window. First, we rubbed our finger in our hair and we put a fingerprint then we dusted them with a powder and brush.  Then we brushed the fingerprint with the powder and got some tape and put it on the print.

CSI Fingerprints!

 This week we have been working on fingerprints. There was a Decorative\ Cop that came in on Tuesday to talk about her job. I learned that you have to dust the fingerprint to see it better! And we also got a special ink to put it on paper with Mrs. Kennedy. I have all 3!

Missing Moji

 This week Janko & I did the missing moji together. It wasn't that hard but Janko & I got it done. We both got 2 guesses to try & get it & Janko got it. The hardest clue was clue 5 because it took us the longest time. The easiest clue was clue 4 because it didn't take long.  This is our picture! We got Halo.

Letter Of The Week!

 This week I did letter of the week & the letter was M. It was pretty challenging do think of words that begin was M. I like doing it because you can pick your font & more. This is it.

Cooking

  This week I joined the cooking group. On the first day, we did a safety in the kitchen. On the second day, we did a word find, cut my onion. On the third day, we ate it. I didn’t like it that much though. The part I liked the most was cutting the onion. We did this for a workshop.

Te Wiki O Te Maori Challenge!

 This week we did something different. We have an end of the term Whoogle, on the top, it is must-dos down the bottom. I did the Maori challenge 3rd. This term we have been looking at some famous people in Aotearoa. I did Jonah Lomu because I play rugby and so did he. It was fun because we got to learning new things. But is was hard to think about what to write. This is my Jonah Lomu poster.

 This term we have been doing some POP ART! I did a knight design for my pop art because that day I was wearing the NRL knight shorts. It was hard to get the right shape. It was FUN! because we got to pastel. This is my POP ART!

Cross-Country 2020!

  Cross Country Reflection 2020 This year I participated in the NPS Cross Country held at school on the Ngatea Domain.  I ran in the 9 age group. I am most proud of the effort that I put into cross-country. I think my effort towards our training at school was good because it helped me a lot. I showed the Learning Power of Resilience by not giving up, I was really tired. I placed 10 th in cross-country.

This week we did a whetu challenge, And it was a create a cartoon character. It was challenging because I keep double-clicking. It was cool to see other people's creations.  I didn't really get much done because  I keep double-clicking! I tried to do Donald Duck

Egg Drop Challenge!

This week we did an egg drop challenge for a Whetu challenge. The hardest part was to try and not crack the egg inside. I worked with, Ryan, Max, and I. The best part was the dropping it!  We did it at the Ngatea Domain grandstand.

Matariki Puzzle Piece's. Done!

This for the last two week's we have been doing some Matariki puzzle pieces. Each week we got 4 or 5 piece's. It was challenging to colouring in and fill in the answers. But in the end, it was fun!

Term 2 Reflection

My Term 2, 2020 Reflection The new learning activity that I have enjoyed the most this term is the Bermuda Triangle with Patrick because I learned so many different facts. Something that has challenged me this term has been the Whetu tennis ball challenge. We tried to make it tall but it didn’t quite come out as planned, it was too thin and fall over. The Whetu Challenge I enjoyed the most was the paper plane one because we got to design and make our own paper plane. The opt-in workshop I enjoyed the most was dodgeball because it was super duper fun. An aim I have for my learning is to get better at my number of the day. I need to work on Multiply it by 5 and tripling it questions.

EGG CARTON CREATION This week for our Whetu Challenge we created something using egg cartons. The hardest part was painting it because their wasn't enough time. I used scissors,paint,egg carton. It didn't really turn out to plan.

This week we didn't do sick sentences or our synthesis eggs, Because we are doing a Matariki thing. My two favorite puzzle pieces were the one that had the, What does Matariki mean in English? & the calendar one. It was hard to figure out the answers. But it was easy to colour.

This week we did a Matariki worksheet. It was a true or false worksheet, there was a page with information that you copy of. I thought that it was hard because I didn't know some of the true or false question's.

Paper Plane Flying 2020

Whetu Challenge - Paper Planes Today our challenge was to design an accurate paper plane. We were given a draft piece of paper to trial and a good piece to use once we had tested the accuracy of it. Before we started I thought this challenge was going to be hard because I thought we were going to do it outside. I decided to use orange and yellow design. My plane was named BOLT ⚡ The hardest part was creating my plane.

This week I did my sick sentince's. The sick sentince's were about a snail & a strawberry. I did 4 or 5  adjectives. & 5 nouns.

Tennis Ball Challenge

Tennis Ball Challenge Today I worked with Oscar & Chris. The easiest thing was rolling the newspaper. The best part of our tower was we came 4 th in how tall they. Our tower looked like a baseball tee. In the end, WE HAD FUN!!!!!!

Catapult Challenge

Whetu Catapult Challenge The things that I used to make my catapult were: 6 sticks, 3 rubber bands & 1 spoon. To make my catapult I worked with Paddy, Oscar & I. The most challenging part was when we were about to go but then it broke :( Our best results were 3rd in the highest comp.

Week 1 Reflection

Week 1 Reflection What has been my highlight this week is playing manhunt with my friends. What was I nervous about this week. I was going to forget something For dress-up day I dressed up as an NPS student because I didn't have anything to dress up as. The funniest thing has happened this week is that there were dolphin's in the Piako I think the best-dressed person was Piako because we both love fishing.

Milk Bottle Creation.

The milk bottle creation I made was a fish trap. The hardest part was trying to make a hole in the bottle. The easiest part was tying the string to the I enjoyed making the whole thing.

                        Afghan Biscuits. On the 16th of April 2020 my Dad, Mum, Sister & I baked some  afghan's (They are a type of biscuit) They have either cornflakes or crushed up Weet-Bix to make them crunchy.

Ch Ch Week 1! Term 2!

  Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. This week in lockdown I drew Dribble the turtle in his fishbowl.  These are the colour's that I chose for him. At first, It was really challenging to get the fishbowl shape right. But it was easy to draw inside. (Rock's, Sand) Turtle Fact. Turtle's have a hard shell that protects them like a shield, this upper shell is called a carapace.

Ch Ch! Week 8 Term 1

This week I did Creation Station, I did a flying fox. I got a little bit of help from Jared, I used a rope & a basket. It was hard to make the rope steep enough, I created it in the Maps on Maze, first I tied the rope to the tall gate then put the rope throw the basket & tied it to a bench. It had to be tight otherwise it wouldn't work.

This week Alex & 1 created an acrostic poem. We spelled out Francie(Is a great sketcher). We had to problem solve what to write. It was very challenging to spell a sentence out at a time. Big thanks to Alex Carter.

Over the last week, I have been working on my visual pepeha. I am proud of the coloring that I did because I'm not a good coloring What I found challenging was trying to put all my photo’s on my Pepeha I worked with Eli’s &Cullen’s Mum as well. To create my whanau star. Cullen’s Mum really help me to cut out my pictures too.

The activity I have enjoyed the most this week is the water slide because it was so hot. It was so refreshing! A goal I have for myself this year is to use kind words to others. What I am most looking forward to this year is my blog! Someone who has helped me so far is Lachie & his Mum. Someone I have helped so far is Oscar. How I aim to show our NPS ICARE this year is Respect others.
